About the lighthouse: Sturgeon Point Light, located in Northern Michigan in the town of Harrisville overlooking Lake Huron, is a 68-foot conical tower constructed in 1869 on land donated by its first keeper. The keeper's dwelling is a two-story brick structure attached to the tower by a passageway. The light comes from a 3-1/2 order lens, which casts a bright beacon out into Lake Huron. Overall lamp height is 24".
